Meet Our Team
Dr. Stuart Tucker
Dr. Stuart Tucker received his DDS degree at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE. He was accepted into one of the top pediatric dentistry residencies in the nation at Cincinnati Children’s hospital. His residency gave him extensive training in well-child care and behavior guidance, sedation dentistry, operating room dental care, and a special emphasis on treatment for patients with significant medical, physical and mental conditions.
During his residency, he discovered how fulfilling it is to work with special needs children and adults and children with extensive medical conditions. He enjoys helping children from any background and feels privileged to interact with youth on a daily basis.
Dr. Stu loves being around children and is a child at heart. Bike rides, jumping on the trampoline, card games, puzzles, reading, wrestling matches (usually involving pillows), and building with LEGOs are just a few of the activities he enjoys with his own active children.
Before his undergrad, Dr Stu spent 2 years living in Mexico on a service mission. As a result, he is fluent in Spanish and thoroughly enjoys authentic Mexican food.
His hobbies include cooking, grilling, crossfit, camping, hiking, cars, yard care, and watching movies with his kids. He can be bribed with Diet Coke and Reese’s.
Dr Stu has 5 silly children that keep life busy, fun, and exciting.

Marsha GrayDental Assistant
Marsha Gray: Dental Assistant
Hello! My name is Marsha Gray. I work as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) for Happy Teeth Pediatric Dentistry, with almost 23 years of experience. I attended Wilkes Community College and began my career at Dr. Rankin’s pediatric dental office in Statesville, NC as a dental assistant in 1998.
I worked and received on-the-job training before taking my state board exam in December of 2001. I received my CDA license shortly after.
I was a patient of Dr. Rankin’s as a child, as were my siblings. My recently-retired mother was a CDA for Dr. Rankin. Our family valued the pediatric dental patient care and dental experiences delivered by Happy Teeth Pediatric Dentistry. I consider it part of my job description to make our office a safe place for our patients.
When I was young, my first dentist damaged my opinion of pediatric dentists. That bad experience encouraged me to show other children with negative experiences that the dental office can be fun! I want kids to know that our team is here to help with oral health and comfort.
We love seeing our patients for dental services and we want them to enjoy their visits, too!
I live in Statesville, NC with Kent, my husband of 20 years. I love spending time with my family, including my nephew and niece and four godchildren.
