Miranda Kalaskey, DDS

Dr. Miranda Kalaskey has always been passionate about children’s oral health, making a career in pediatric dentistry a lifelong dream. She loves working with children and views each visit as an opportunity to positively impact the way they perceive dental care. Her goal is to ensure that every child looks forward to their dental appointments and remains motivated about maintaining their oral hygiene at home.

Dr. Kalaskey believes that children represent the best aspects of our world, and their sweet smiles inspire her to stay up to date with the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry. She particularly enjoys the preventative aspect of dentistry, sharing oral health tips and tricks to help families prevent new cavities from forming.

Beyond teaching children about dental care, Dr. Kalaskey finds herself constantly learning from them. Their creativity and enthusiasm keep her informed about the latest children’s movies, shows, and trends. As a Disney annual passholder, she enjoys exploring and embracing the culture that many of her young patients love.

As the oldest of six children, Dr. Kalaskey often acted as a second mother to her younger siblings, including brushing and flossing their teeth before bed. Even from a young age, she knew that pediatric dentistry was her calling. Although her siblings are now much older, they still proudly share their clean check-ups with her. Dr. Kalaskey greatly values family time and cherishes the moments when her large family comes together for vacations and holidays.

Dr. Kalaskey is passionate about learning and regularly attends continuing education (CE) courses to stay current with the latest technology and dental materials. She believes that staying informed about the latest advancements in dentistry is crucial for providing the best patient care. Dr. Kalaskey has also had the privilege of instructing fellow pediatric dentists through various educational courses. A highlight of attending CE meetings for her is the opportunity to connect with colleagues and discuss complex treatment plans. At a recent AAPD meeting, she even had the chance to visit an aquarium, combining her love for learning with her love for animals.

Outside of the office,  Dr. Kalaskey has embraced her new home in North Carolina. She appreciates the beauty, warmth, and outdoor adventures that both states offer. In her personal time, she enjoys cooking, baking, and exploring new restaurants with her fiancé, Steven.
